Private Servers in Dune: Awakening

You can choose to play Dune: Awakening on an official or a private server.

The experience is mostly the same, except you can lock your private server with a password so that only you and the people you share the password with can play.

There are also a few server settings you can configure yourself:

  • Security zones: you can turn off PvP security zones, essentially making your Hagga Basin have free-for-all PvP
  • Taxation: you can turn off taxation on your server
  • Sandstorms: you can turn off sandstorms on your server

Dune: Awakening’s content and gameplay mechanics are deeply intertwined with our large-scale multiplayer server and world structure. It’s one of the things that makes Dune: Awakening truly unique. To retain this, all private servers belong to a World consisting of other private servers that all share social hubs and a Deep Desert.
