The footage offers a closer look at how&nbsp;<em>Dune: Awakening<\/em>&nbsp;looks, plays, and performs on console\u2014from surviving the vast open deserts of Arrakis and establishing a foothold, to taking flight in an ornithopter and facing the ever-present danger beneath the sands.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dune: Awakening offers two graphics mode on PlayStation\u00ae5 and PlayStation\u00ae5 Pro:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Performance Mode: 60fps, Dynamic 4K&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Quality Mode: 30fps, Dynamic 4K<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PlayStation 5 Pro delivers a higher native resolution in both modes, alongside enhanced visuals in Quality Mode.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Dune: Awakening - PlayStation Gameplay | PS5\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/J1FGY8BSuRk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Cross-Play Is Coming&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are also excited to confirm that cross-play is coming to&nbsp;<em>Dune: Awakening<\/em>&nbsp;after the console launch.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are not ready to share a date just yet, but we will have more information as development progresses. Our goal is to let more players share their stories, alliances, rivalries, and battles for Arrakis\u2014regardless of platform.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Beyond September 22: The Polar Cap&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is more to look forward to after launch. Arriving as a free update later this year, the Polar Cap is a sizeable new survival map that expands the experience.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some of what the Polar Cap includes:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>New survival mechanics&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New locations and resources&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New loot and craftable items&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A new standalone storyline&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/clan.fastly.steamstatic.com\/images\/\/42849822\/4930d2de23f1baf9a87f0f5c50d207ae1362ddfb.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For players who enjoy the survival loop of Hagga Basin, the Polar Cap will offer a very different kind of challenge. Rather than enduring Arrakis\u2019 scorching heat, you will need to contend with extreme cold.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And it is cold. Damn cold.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Survival in this unforgiving biome will demand new tools, careful preparation, and clever ways to endure conditions unlike anything found in Hagga Basin.
